We spent our Christmas holidays at a homestay in Ha Long Bay. the place offered us a comfortable stay with nice and clean rooms. We liked that it was located near the major tourist spots and had a good view of the surroundings. the homestay was equipped with Wi-Fi, which was helpful.
We found that the price was higher than we expected, and there were some private belongings in the homestay that made us feel uncomfortable. We also faced challenges communicating with the host due to the language barrier which created some confusion for us.

Spent New Year's Eve with my friends in a homestay. The host provided us with complimentary drinks and snacks. We loved the cozy ambiance of the place. The surrounding area was quiet, and we enjoyed the view of the surroundings. the homestay is close to the market and restaurants.
The directions to the homestay were unclear, and we wasted a lot of time looking for it. Upon arrival, we noticed that the place was not clean;

It was close to the ferry terminal, making it convenient for exploring nearby islands. the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with clean and spacious bathrooms. the host was friendly and tried her best to communicate despite the language barrier. the breakfast provided was delicious, offering a good start to the day.
There were some minor cleanliness issues with the accommodation that affected the overall experience.
